I have just returned from an amazing 10 day trip from Egypt. Prior to going on this amazing trip I had all the usual concerns anyone would have. It ranged from one of my friends referring to my going to the “war zone” not to mention the fact that I had always been against booking trips through a tour company. I and my mate are people who like to travel independently with no set schedule. But, now that we are back home and looking over all the pictures and memories in the mind, we couldn’t have chosen a better tour company than Memphis Tours.

My Memphis Tours Itinerary

To begin, you have a private car and driver assigned to you at all times throughout the entire trip. While the drivers may change and the guides may change, depending on your itinerary, the professionalism and attention to detail, comfort and fun never ends with Memphis Tours.

From the moment we landed in Cairo, Egypt we were greeted by Eslam Mohammed. He was dressed professionally, was courteous, and welcomed us in the most warm way possible. His assistance w/ the Egyptian Visa was greatly appreciated. The main thing I would like to commend him on is, after the initial review of the tour, he provided SEVERAL options and encouraged certain tours which I may have said no to immediately.

Specifically I am speaking about the Balloon Tour w/ Alaska Balloon Tour Company and I will be writing a blog on that tour later.

Throughout the tour he was in constant contact w/ the guides and drivers making sure all was well taken care of. At one point I had questions and he was always available to answer his phone and assist.

Aside from him, I came in contact with many other Memphis Tours representatives but would like to share reviews on the two tour guides which made this trip even more memorable.

Kadria Saad and Ahmed Gomaa

With what some may say as “only 10 days” please refer to all the pictures I am including in this page to see just a portion of the amount of ground we covered. We visited countless Temples and Tombs, the Egyptian Museum and the Catacombs in Alexandria just to name a small portion of what this tour company exposes you to.

To call this trip relaxing, is not a word I would use but a word I would definitely use is EDUCATIONAL. Walking away from this trip, I feel I have learned something about Egyptian History but also about their current day cultures and way of life. Seeing not just the famous sites but exploring local markets and stores was only made possible w/ the help of having a native speaking guide / assistant with us at all times.

With regard to the safety, I have decided it is best to address this in a separate blog and will be in the form of a video. Egypt is among the SAFEST Middle Eastern Countries one could ever hope to visit. They treat tourists with the most respect as their economy depends HEAVILY on us tourists. At no time at all did I fear my safety or the safety of my traveling mate.

So on behalf of myself and my travel mate, it is with the biggest thank you for making this trip not only memorable but educational, hassel free, and adventurous. It is my hope, ‘in sha’ allh to take another tour w/ Memphis tours one day.

Truly Thank you Memphis Tours!

Chris
